I started Coding and Crafts because I wanted one place to keep the things I build and make. I have coding projects, app ideas, screenshots, technical notes, and also craft projects, decorations, Cricut ideas, and process photos. Until now, those things have lived in a lot of different places.
This site gives me a home for both sides of what I do. On one side, I can write about software, design decisions, debugging, and project progress. On the other side, I can save creative ideas, supplies, finished pieces, and what I learned while making them.
I am starting with blog posts, screenshots, and pictures first because that is the easiest way to build the habit of documenting the work. Later, I want to grow these posts into videos too.
My goal is not to make everything look perfect before I share it. My goal is to capture the process while it is still fresh, so I can remember what worked, what changed, and what I want to try next.
Coding and Crafts is meant to feel warm, practical, colorful, and personal. It is a place for works in progress just as much as finished results, and that is exactly what I want this site to become.
